Partnerships
Emerald Discovery considers collaborations that suit its natural-history subjects and respect the difference between editorial work and promotion. Describe the proposed audience, format, subject and commercial arrangement through the Contact page.
Possible collaborations
We consider clearly bounded educational collaborations, relevant event or project features, and partner placements that offer readers a useful route to a related resource. We do not accept arrangements that require unsupported scientific claims, intrusive wildlife activity or editorial endorsement of a product or service.
Partner placements
A partner placement may appear in a clearly identified partner area across the site when the subject is relevant to Emerald Discovery. Any paid or sponsored placement is labelled clearly, and its destination and wording must be suitable for readers. Placement does not imply that Emerald Discovery independently verifies or endorses the partner.
Editorial separation
Partnerships do not determine article conclusions, coverage decisions or correction decisions. Partner material is distinct from editorial articles, and we may decline or remove a placement if its content, presentation or relationship to a partner becomes misleading.
Proposing an arrangement
Use the Contact page and choose the partnership option. Explain the proposed format, subject, intended placement and any payment or other exchange. We review each proposal for relevance and clarity; sending an idea does not guarantee acceptance.
Attention is a way of learning
A careful look can turn a familiar patch of green into a place full of relationships. We explain what can be observed, distinguish it from what is inferred, and leave room for uncertainty.
